Program – Jason (jr high principal) Aug 24 –  back to school event. This will be community involvement.

Discussed Dee’s project. A letter of intent will be sent to city hall.

Program –  Al introduced Tom Rowley who related his trip to Antartica. He flew to Chili and then to the Falkin Islands and S. Georgia Islands. He sowed many slides of the islands, boat tour, and several of the animals. What a trip!

29th – discussion of Dee]s park project

Program – Glen Thompson (cranberry rancher) and Dave Bellomany Ag scientist from Ocean Spray) who manages 105 cranberry growers. Cranberries are not a row crop like corn. He told about the many harvesting methods, plants produce for 4 – 15 years but some have gone as long as 85 years. Fresh earns the most money and process berries less. Interesting information.
