Several spouses, from Aberdeen – BoB, Al, Mike amd Irv

1st reading of next year officers.

Program – Jim Wyrich accepted a check to help pay for bus repair for Eye Care We care. He answered question  and told about what goes on during a mission. He left to catch the plane to the Philippines. He will be gone for 11 days seeing about 500+ patients. Irv from Aberdeen told us about the eye machine that they are wishing for help to buy to take around to schools to test the kids eyesight both near and far sighted. It will do 7 functions really quick. Each unit costs  $7.000.00 . He accepted a check also.

NIGHT MEETING NEXT WEEK. –  spouces welcome

May 18 – 19 distric spring conference at Kelso Red Lions 9 club will cover some of the cost )  see Jerry S. so he can get the paperwork sent  in.

Think about being a club officer for next year. 3rd VP is open.

students of the month – Myka Wayman and Walker Dunn

program – Brock told us about the Hope Squad who are students trained in suiside prevention.  . They look for warning signs in their own peer groups and refer them to where they can get help  or teach them about coping methods. He also talked about school security/

White cane day 1st Friday in may.

25 year pin presented to Mel.

Dee told us about his 3 month trip to California, Arizona and Texas

Program – Jim Wyrich and eye care – we care. He said there are 11 missions to the Philippines for 2018 although they has a lot of problems with the mobile bus ( motor and transmission ) They see 500+ patients a day. Since 2005 they have served over 25,000 patients. He related on how he got to do what he dose. Impressive!
