Meeting was called to order by King Lion Seppo.  Lion Pete led the beautiful music with about a “B” rating.  Pretty good for a bunch of old croakers.

Lion Brad introduced the “Boy and Girl” for October.  They are Antoine Johnson and Ellie Quercia.  Both outstanding students (of course) with many extra curricular activities to boot.

Mel Thompson is home and resting well.  Our Zone Meeting centered around Camp Leo.  A group of students have been selling boxes of apples to help support this most worthy cause.

Our guest speaker was Lorna Valdez, Director of the North Bay PAWS and gave us an update on the facility at Hogan’s Corner. Doing fine work, Lorna indicated that they had placed about 120 dogs this year.

Someone named “Bud”, I believe, won the drawing.

Meeting was called to order by King Lion Seppo.  Singing was a B+.

Guest and prospective member Tom Elledge was introduced.  Mel Thompson is progressing well and made an appearance at the Loggers Playday Salmon Feed on Saturday Night.

It was reported that 400 salmon meals were served.  Thanks to all who helped put on the fine dining affair.  Also, a total of $4,735 (US) gross was the reported revenue.

No news on the Rain Derby and is now listed on the website.

Our guest speaker was the most informative Dave Ward, General Manager of the Grays Harbor PUD.  Dave discussed the goals of the PUD in returning to “Back To Basics”.  Six arreas were discussed:

Customer Relations, Finance, Safety and Reliability, Process and Performance Improvement, Employee Development and Retention and Stewardship for the Environment.  Many Kudos for a fine program.
